Junko Takeuchi, a 39-year-old voice actress hailing from Japan and the lead role in the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, will be a guest at this year's New York Anime Festival.
Junko is most well known for her talents as Naruto Uzumaki, although she has played many young, quirky male characters, including Gon Freecss of Hunter x Hunter. Junko has also starred in several popular anime series such as, Inazuma Eleven as Mamoru Endou, Ouran High School Host Club as Shirou Takaouji, Rurouni Kenshin as Honjo Kamatari, as well as the main protagonist, Jack Russell, in the Square Enix published game, Radiata Stories.
Junko Takeuchi will be participating in the Naruto Shippuden panel at New York Anime Festival on Friday, October 14th at 1:15PM. Naruto fans are urged to participate in Naruto cosplay, as you will be eligible for a prize! Her visit to the US coincides with the release of the new film, Naruto Shippuden The Movie: Bonds, which hits stores on Blu-ray and DVD October 25, 2011.
