The 2012 Naperville Reads children's author is Antonio Sacre. Sacre work as an author and performer exemplify this year's theme of "Everybody Has a Story. What's Yours?"
On Thursday, February 9, at 7 pm Sacre will appear at Wentz Concert Hall at 7 pm. His performance, as well as his books, focus on his own family stories and multicultural folk tales. Through these stories, he illustrates life lessons that everyone can appreciate. Expect laughter and fun during this family performance.
Some of Sacre's books include A Mango in the Hand: A Story Told Through Proverbs, La Noche Buena: A Christmas Story and The Barking Mouse.
Prior to this event, Sacre will appear at several 203 and 204 schools to discuss his books and performances.
Tickets for the Wentz Hall performance are free. Tickets can be picked up at Naperville Public Libraries Children Service Desks and Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville.
