Naperville Public LIbrary teaches kids about money and business

Children learn many lessons growing up. During school hours, they learn about writing, history and many other subjects. Still there are many life lessons beyond the studies on the page. Understanding money and business is imperative to a bright future. Naperville Public Library is committed to providing the tools for our children's success.

Recently the Illinois Credit Union generously donated fund for NPL to purchase the entire series of Biz Kid$ videos. These videos are described as "a clever blend of entertainment and education. Each Biz Kid$ episode shows kids how to make and manage money by introducing concepts of financial literacy and entrepreneurship." Kids generally relate well to this program because it has kids teaching kids.

This summer, NPL and Illinois Credit Union will partner together to host the Teen Realty Fair. On June 19, our area's youth will explore how to manage and make money. These skills are imperative to a successful future.

This resource shows Naperville Public Library's commitment to providing investment and financial resources to all areas of our community. For more information on this program or other resources, please visit staff in the adult services or teen services area.
