August 30th, 2013, Multiple news sources, are reporting that napalm type attack on a school has left children with multiple burns on the bodies of the students but without the element of cuts to the skin or visible blood.A BBC film crew witnessed the attacked. The Independent Newspaper(www.independent.co.uk.com) has reported that “At least 10 children were killed and many more were injured, according to the report from Ian Pannell and cameraman Darren Conway. A large number of those who survived had burns to more than 50 per cent of their bodies, meaning that they were more likely than not to die as well.” Additional reports from eyewitnesses are that children and adults were covered in a white substance and their clothing burned off, which is suggesting the bomb that was dropped did contain a substance such as napalm. The BBC reports “a fighter jet dropping the device, a low explosion, followed by columns of fire and smoke.”
A British medic, Dr Rola, who was in Syria with the charity Hand In Hand, treated the victims at the hospital. She has been quoted as saying,” It is just absolute chaos and carnage here. We have had a massive influx of what looks like serious burns, seems like it must be some sort of, not really sure, maybe napalm, something similar to that.”(BBC reports)
Dr. Rola continued “She added later: "We feel like some sort of, not even a second class citizen, like we just don't matter. Like all of these children, and all of these people who are being killed and massacred, we don't matter."The whole world has failed our nation and it is innocent civilians who are paying the price."
In other news, the British government has voted against Prime Minister David Cameron and voted not to intercede in the possible military strikes against Syria. In a vote of 272 to 285 with the majority of 13, the motion for military action was denied. Prime Minister Cameron then stated “It is clear to me that the British Parliament, reflecting the views of the British people, does not want to see British military action. I get that and the Government will act accordingly.”(The Irish Times, August 29th, 2013)
Meanwhile, the Obama Administration is prepared to strike at Syria in a unilateral military strike. Intelligence reports have not released details into the attacks the Syrian government, against its own citizens but other intelligence reports state “the main poison used was likely sarin, and with estimate the death toll at 500 to 1,000 people, according to a senior U.S. Official”( Wall Street Journal) .The Obama administration has repeatedly said that the possible U.S strikes are not about a regime change but say to the world that the use of chemical weapons is unacceptable by any nation.
