The 2014 Auction Napa Valley is sold out. This is the annual community charity event that for over 30 years is been celebrating the global reputation of Napa Valley wines and the unique beauty of the region to raise funds to improve the health and wellbeing of Napa Valley residents. "To date, the NVV has invested more than $120 million from the Auction Napa Valley proceeds in Napa County nonprofit organizations," by NVV numbers.

The Napa Valley Vintners nonprofit trade association has been an example of greatness for 70 years by encouraging its 500 members to produce quality wines, vintage after vintage. Also promoting environmental friendly practices to protect the land for future generations of Napa Valley.

If you can't be present at the auction, join the celebration by taking advantage of the E Auction, started on Sunday June 1, 2014 at noon PDT. The online-gavel comes down on Sunday, June 8 at noon PDT. This year E-Auction features a record 177 lots. Bidders anywhere in the world have the chance to acquire extraordinary and often one-of-a-kind wines and experiences with vintners and winemakers. Lots can be viewed and bids placed at auctionnapavalley.org.

Categories include:

  • Instant Cellars (24 or more bottles of wine)
  • Verticals (some quite rare and many older vintages)
  • Insider Experiences (often meals with vintners in private Napa Valley locations)
  • Sleepovers (Wine Country overnight accommodations, many of winery guest houses never seen by the public)
  • Big Bottles (large format bottles, many of which are not otherwise available)
  • Collaboration (where multiple wineries are involved, often with a common theme)

If you already have tickets for the Barrel Auction and marketplace hosted by the Charles Krug winery on Friday, June 6, 2014 join winemakers and mingle with wine enthusiasts inside the newly renovated, historic Redwood Cellar and taste coveted wine samples directly from the barrel from over 100 wineries. Play a part of the spirited bidding on these limited offering wines.

Outside on the tree-shaded grounds, the Marketplace extravaganza features dozens of wineries pouring their current release wines served alongside treats from the region’s most acclaimed restaurants and food purveyors. This is also your chance to preview the extraordinary lots that will be offered in the Live Auction on Saturday. This year NVV will offer a mobile application for Android, that will let you bid for your favorite barrel auction lot while you stroll around sip and savor delicious wines and small bites to eat.
