The good news is that Live in the Vineyard returns for its seventh year on April 3-6 in Napa Valley, California.

The bad news is that it’s an invite-only festival but you can be one of the lucky attendees when you visit the event’s website, http://liveinthevineyard.com, for more information on winning tickets.

The lineup includes Sarah McLachlan, Colbie Caillat, Mary Lambert (co-songwriter and featured singer on the Grammy award-winning “Same Love” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis), Allen Stone, Saints of Valory, Plumb, Yuna and Birdy.

The BottleRock music festival gained new organizers who did enough to settle the problems left by the promoters of last year’s inaugural event that it will return in 2014. It’s scheduled as a three-day fest beginning May 30 at the Napa Valley Expo.

Shaky Knees Music Festival, which takes place May 9-11, may have found a new location -- Atlantic Station in Atlanta, Georgia -- but it remains consistent with presenting a solid lineup of alternative rock artists.

This year’s roster includes The National, Modest Mouse, Alabama Shakes, The Replacements, Spoon, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Local Natives, The Gaslight Anthem, Portugal. The Man, Violent Femmes, Cage The Elephant, Dropkick Murphys, Conor Oberst, Iron & Wine, Jenny Lewis, Deer Tick, The Hold Steady, Trampled By Turtles, Dawes, Lord Huron, Jason Isbell, White Denim, Langhorne Slim & the Law, The Devil Makes Three and Man Man.

Like so many of this year’s festivals, Firefly Music Festival, June 19-22 at the Woodlands of Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware, has the reunited Outkast as one of its headlining acts. Foo Fighters and Jack Johnson will be the other headliners.

The lineup includes Weezer, Imagine Dragons, the Lumineers, Pretty Lights, Tegan & Sara, Band of Horses, Childish Gambino, Arctic Monkeys, Sleigh Bells, Amos Lee, Young the Giant, City and Colour, Local Natives, Twenty One Pilots, Cage the Elephant, Tune-Yards, Portugal. The Man, Iron and Wine, The Airborne Toxic Event, Jake Bugg, Washed Out, Grouplove, Third Eye Blind, Kasier Chiefs, MS MR, Ziggy Marley, Girl Talk and Chance the Rapper.
