Naomi Campbell is recovering in a wheelchair after being mugged in Paris, a city ironically known for lovers.
Although Campbell has a reputation for being a tough woman (and arguably a violent one), Naomi is receiving a ton of sympathy this week when it was revealed that she was roughed up and robbed overseas.
According to the NY Post, Naomi was attempting to hail a cab when she was attacked. But Campbell wasn’t just mugged, she was severely injured, as well.
“The supermodel was set upon by thugs as she tried to hail a cab and was ‘knocked over and robbed,’” writes the Post.
“She suffered a torn ligament, and reported the incident to French cops.”
The Post was able to talk to a source close to the situation regarding Campbell’s harrowing situation.
“It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone.”
What’s no doubt strange, however, is why was Naomi Campbell—a rich, volatile super model—hailing a cab in France, rather than being picked up in a flashy vehicle?
