The Celebration of Cuisines program continues at Nao with an Argentinian menu that launched last Tuesday and will run for six weeks until April 14. In an effort to explore new flavors from Latin America Nao is introducing different menus inspired by various regions and headed by Executive Chef Geronimo Lopez. Past menus have included cuisines from Oaxaca, Peru and the Spanish Caribbean and will soon include Chile and Venezuela.
Argentina is known for its fertile Pampas, beef, handsome gauchos and sensual tango and guests will immersed in the music, art and cuisine of this country while dining at Nao. The Argentinian menu consists of a special prix fixe menu that highlights the country’s indigenous ingredients. It will feature an appetizer, main course and dessert for $39 and an optional Malbec wine pairing for an additional $20.
The appetizer choices are: Tres Empanadas that includes beef, braised leeks and provoleta cheese and salsa criolla and herb salad or Crispy Sweetbreads served with Argentine sausage and a chickpea flatbread.
The main course choices are: Seafood Risotto served with toasted almonds and tomato-anise coulis or Bife de Chorizo, a beef sirloin served with ash roasted peppers and onions and chimichurri.
The dessert includes Alfajores de Dulce de Leche, a contemporary spin on the Argentine classic cookie.
