Next Saturday August 23 Nao is celebrating their second anniversary and as part of the celebration dinner guests will be able to enjoy a complimentary cocktail. This Ayahuasca cocktail is made with organic cachaça, aperol, lime, mango syrup and sparkling wine.
Tomorrow is the beginning of Restaurant Week and Nao is taking part of this citywide celebration of food with a special menu.
Restaurant Week was created by the culinary community to promote the different menu options that San Antonio has to offer. It offers locals and visitors an opportunity to discover new cuisines that perhaps they never had a chance to experience at affordable prices at restaurants in areas ranging from downtown to Stone Oak.
Nao will be participating in Restaurant Week by offering a three-course dinner menu for $35 with an optional wine pairing for an additional $20.
Restaurant Week Menu:
The meal begins with a choice between Beef Tostada “Tzic” with onions, radishes, cilantro and avocado or a Lima Bean, Chayote, Pearl onion salad with traditional pickled vegetable “escabeche.”
The main course includes a choice between seafood stuffed chiles “Pibxcatic” with crab meat, lobster, shrimp, tomato and “hojasanta” sauce and roasted pork tenderloin with black “recado” sauce, black bean relish, sweet plantain puree, goat cheese and corn dumplings.
The dessert will consist of Cacao Nib-Corn Pudding “Nicoatole” served with sapote fruit ice cream and anise sauce.
Sparkling wine (brut)
Combine 1 oz. Novo Fogo Cachaça, 3/4 oz. mango syrup, 1/2 oz. Aperol, and 1/2 oz. lime juice. Shake and strain into a Champagne flute. Top with Pascual Toso sparkling wine. Garnish with a strawberry and mango skewer.
