Nanny charged with child endangerment (Video)

Child abuse remains topical in the media and for good reason. Too many people believe it is okay and justifiable to slap or hit children. The Christian Science Monitor reported today that a nanny was caught on video slapping an infant who did not want to feed from the bottle. The nanny hit the baby several times. The nanny, Mamura Nasirova was not only seen hitting the 5-month-old from Staten Island, she was also seen shaking the baby.

The video was posted on YouTube. ABC news reports that one viewer remarked the video has already received more than 5500 hits.

NewsMax reports the mother posted how she became suspicion of the nanny when her 17-month-old child was afraid of her. It was then that she decided to place a hidden camera in her home. The parents showed the video to Nasirova. They recount the nanny did not show any emotion whatsoever. She only said, “But I love her.” The mother of the child goes on to say, "She is a monster, liar; animal. I don’t think there are any words to describe her. “

Nasirova tried to resist arrest. Nevertheless, she has been arrested, jailed, and charged with child endangerment.

According to Childhelp,A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds; more than five children die every day as a result of child abuse and approximately 80% of children that die from abuse are under the age of four.” They go on to say, “The United States has the worst record in the industrialized nations, – losing five children every day due to abuse-related deaths.”

According to the New York State Department of Health, “It only takes a few seconds of violent shaking to cause permanent damage. Hopefully this child will be free from brain damage thanks to a wise and diligent mother.
