Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding will forever be associated with the figure skating scandal that rocked the United States years ago. There have been many specials about the knee-whack incident, but the latest will be seen on NBC Sunday night. Nancy & Tonya is a one hour special offering a look at this sport scandal and maybe offering up some new details. According to the Oregon Live on Wednesday, the scandal surrounding the knee injury had Tonya Harding in the headlines as the figure skater was competing against the victim. Harding’s ex-husband and his associates were implicated in planning and executing the attack.

Nancy Kerrigan will be seen in the NBC documentary, which is very rare for the skater. After all the time that has gone by, 20 years, the former figure skater has only publicly talked about the incident a few times. Now living in Boston and having a good life after the Olympics, the athlete doesn't dwell on what happened that dreadful day in 1994 when she was hit with a club on the knee.

Tonya Harding is also included in the special and gives her version of what happened. She also shares about her life in the present. The former figure skater has recently granted interviews about the anniversary of the attack as there have been several specials about the incident.

American figure skating has changed so much since Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding were on the ice. The two athletes made history in an infamous moment and the figure skating world hasn't seen a bigger scandal since.

Nancy & Tonya is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. Sunday night on NBC, before the 2014 Winter Olympics closing ceremony.
