Actress Nancy Dolman, wife of actor Martin Short, died Saturday, August 21. Her cause of death is unknown at this time but CNN reports that Short's representative, Camille Kuznetz, confirmed Dolman's death. The Canadian born comic actress, 58, was best known for her recurring role as Annie Selig Tate on the ABC cult sitcom Soap in the early 80's.

The death of Martin Short's wife, Nancy Dolman, surfaced as a top Google trend after the news spread through the Web of her unexpected death. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, but there is no confirmation that the cancer is related to her passing.

CNN: The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call for emergency medical help at the couple's Pacific Palisades home Saturday morning, according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey. Humphrey stated that paramedics did not transport anyone from the home

Martin Short and Nancy Dolman married in 1980. They met after working together in a production of "Godspell." They have three children - Katherine, 27, Oliver, 24, and Henry, 20.
