NAMI East Bay presents a speaker and support groups about mental illness

Dr. Dri Wang, a clinical psychiatric pharmacist, will speak at the upcoming NAMI East Bay meeting on Wednesday, September 28. Dr. Wang works for Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, which includes 32 outpatient mental health programs. She is known for an ability to make complex issues about psychopharmacology very understandable to a general audience.

NAMI also offers monthly support meetings for parents of children, teens, and adults with brain-based disorders like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Tourette’s syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and severe anxiety.

  • Support and Share Group for Families of Adults - held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Upcoming meetings are on Oct. 12 and Nov 9.
  • Support and Share Group for Families of Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults - held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Upcoming meetings: Oct. 18 and Nov. 15.
