Those sweet little panda twins that were born last month to Lun Lun and Yang Yang at the Atlanta Zoo were shown on “GMA” on Aug. 23 as they had a big announcement to make. The morning show and Zoo Atlanta are teaming up to let viewers name the baby pandas.
The twins are known as cub A and cub B right now as it is Chinese tradition to wait until the panda babies are 100 days old before they are officially named. The tough part is actually coming up with awesome names. This is where you come in. Everyone will get a chance to take part in naming these two cuties. “GMA” sent out a tweet saying, “In the coming days, YOU get to name the twin panda cubs at @ZooATL!”
These black and white critters are the only surviving panda twins in the United States. The vets showed the hosts of “GMA” this morning how their daily routine goes when it comes to taking care of the cubs. They have to shower before they go in because of the fragility of the cubs. Each one gets a few hours with their mama and they are weighed regularly to make sure they are at a healthy weight.
Be sure to watch for future announcements on how you can take part in naming these most famous twins.
