Name revealed for new Saratoga brewpub

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- Well, now we know what the city's new brewpub will be called.

The project being undertaken just off the narrow Broadway entrance had been going under the working title Martell Brothers Brewing Company, for investors Chris and Brian Martel, who are in partnership George de Piro and other investors. De Piro, a Times Union blogger, is the brewmaster at Albany Pump Station and will be brewmaster at what will be called Druthers.

The Druthers name is posted on a new sign at the construction site, and on the in-the-works website that bears the motto "Given Our Druthers, We Would Brew Beer."
