Name Norwegian's new youth and teen programs: win a family cruise for 4

Last month, Norwegian Cruise Line announced it was revamping its youth and teen programs fleet wide.  Now, you have a chance to name their new programs, and your reward could be a seven-day Caribbean cruise for four!

It's called the "Up2YOU" naming contest, and NCL is inviting cruisers to submit names for the overall programs as well as names for the age-specific portions of these programs.

You have to hurry, because the contest starts today and ends February 13, 2012.  Prizes include:

  • Seven day Caribbean cruise for a family of four if you name the new kids or teen program
  • $100 American Express gift cards for the winning names among the six ages groups

Norwegian will begin implementing the programs starting with the Norwegian Gem in mid-February, eventually putting the new kids and teen programs on all ships.

“We want to ensure that we have the best youth programs at sea for the more than 150,000 children and teens that sail with us each year,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line's CEO. “In the spirit of Freestyle Cruising, we thought that the parents and kids who utilize the programs would be the best to suggest names for them. We are looking for lots of originality and creativity along with names that really speak to today’s kids and teens.”

To enter, visit www.ncl.com, fill out the online entry form and submit name options for one, any, or all of the following:

  • the new kids program
  • the new teen program

And the six new age groups:

  • six months to two years old
  • three to five years old
  • six to nine years old
  • 10 to 12 years old
  • 13 to 14 years old
  • 15 to 17 years old.

Enter as many times as you like. The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age and older. Parent or guardians may submit entries on behalf of those younger than 18.
