Just north of Peak 7, Peak 6 will include 400 acres of lift-served terrain and 143 acres of hike-to terrain with high-alpine, intermediate bowl skiing. The projected opening day for Peak 6 lifts and terrain will be announced early during the winter season as construction comes to a conclusion and the snow starts to fall.
The deadline to enter is Sept. 13, and the theme you should consider when you submit your ideas is Awaken Your Sixth Sense: “Use names that sum up what senses and feelings are woken from within when human limits are pushed. Trail names that encompass that sense of being are more likely to be chosen,” the resort advises.
If your idea for a name is selected, it will appear on the resort’s trail map and land a spot in Breck’s permanent history. The winner also receives their own replica trail sign with their winning trail name and two 2-day lift tickets for the 2013-2014 season.
