On Feb. 18 TMZ broke the story that Honey Boo Boo's Uncle Poodle is looking for love in gay chat rooms, and he's using his niece's name to do it! Uncle Poodle, whose real name is Lee Thompson, has been visiting the gay chat room, Grindr, to chat up people and sending naked photos of himself in the shower to people.
TMZ was offered the photos from a man in Georgia that Thompson allegedly sent to him. The man claims that there was no hook up, but Lee did name drop his niece to make sure that the man knew exactly who he was talking to. "Uncle Poodle" is featured on the show often and is openly gay. TMZ called Thompson to ask whether he planned to take legal action, however, there was no response.
This could prove to be a huge conundrum for the Shannon/ Thompson family. The last incident that reflected badly on the show and the family, Mama June nixed them from the show. "Crazy Tony" who was trying to capitalize on the "Honey Boo Boo" name to do redneck porn is no longer welcome on the show. Could Uncle Poodle be the next to be banned from the show?
