Naked PETA protestor lays in bloody meat package outside Dreamland Bar-B-Que

A PETA protestor stripped off her clothes and posed as a package of bloody meat in front of the Dreamland Bar-B-Que restaurant in Montgomery, Ala. on Wednesday, Jan 9, 2013.

Covered with fake blood and plastic wrap, photos of the young woman quickly made the rounds on Twitter.

"Check out this package of "fresh human" on the sidewalk in a PETA protest Wed. in downtown Montgomery." @PoeCommunicate

The only thing that covered the protestor, other than a thin layer of plastic wrap and off-white granny panties, was the sign she held over the upper half of her body that simply read, "Flesh."

The reaction of Twitter was humorous, making the woman's protest a bit of a joke. It didn't seem to drum up any support for PETA, but it did make a lot of Twitter folks hungry.

  • "PETA protest of dreamland makes me want to pour BBQ sauce over a slab of ribs" - @JoeMcAdory
  • "For some reason I feel like eating at dreamland today" #peta - @jndrizzle
  • "I don't even eat ribs, but this PETA protest outside Dreamland BBQ makes me want to cop a slab to spite PETA" - @WitchDrDash
  • "Saw a news article that PETA protested Dreamland today. All it did is make me think of Dreamland and their delicious ribs. Mmmm....." - @Commadore_Bob

Even Dreamland Bar-B-Que had something to say on Twitter about the PETA protestor who pose as a slab of raw meat outside the restaurant. Of course, they were politically correct with their statement, obviously trying to keep PETA supporters at bay.

"We respect PETA's right to lawfully protest at Mont. Dreamland. We're proud of our product & service and hope our guests weren't disturbed." - @dreamlandbbq

There was no reaction to the bloody protestor from PETA on Twitter on Wednesday. Instead they tweeted a rather mind boggling statistic.

"Americans today eat more than a million animals per hour. -Dr. Neal Bernard #SadMath"
