‘Naked and Afraid’ premiere; fire ants, mosquitoes attack in Amazon

The popular show “Naked and Afraid” returns to Discovery on Sunday night with two strangers and an Amazon jungle full of bugs ready to attack. While most viewers wouldn’t leave the house without bug spray, the two contestants leave everything behind except one person item and the will to survive for 21 days. According to Broadway World on Sunday , the premiere introduces two complete strangers, A.K. and Tyler as they battle to survive.

One of the worst places in the world to be without proper equipment, expect to see the two reality stars battered and cruised. Not by big animals either, but the small bugs that cause havoc. It was reported by TMZ, that the insects were so bad that the two had to carefully try to cover private parts as the bugs attacked unmercifully. They were being eaten alive by the mosquitoes.

Every week a pair of strangers comes together to survive without anything but food, water and clothing. Offering up an experience of intrigue and someone odd behavior, there is no big prize for the 21 days of living, just the resolution that they made it that long with their skills in an exotic location.

This week both contestants survive, but the journey reveals how these two contestants use their wits and skills to endure and make the best out of the situation.

“Naked and Afraid” premiere returns to the Discovery Channel at 9 p.m. ET.
