Nadia Bloom, an 11-year-old girl has been found alive after missing for five days. Bloom went missing Friday and a searcher, James King believes he found her near her Orlando, Florida home on Tuesday morning.
The Metro Faith Church in Orlando said that Nadia appears to be ok, but that she is tired, hungry, dehydrated and covered in mosquito bites.
Nadia family has confirmed that the girl found is Nadia and that she is alive and well; she is currently in the South Seminole Hospital hooked up to an IV to give her dehydrated body much needed fluids.
Her family said that Nadia Bloom wondered off with the book “Lanie” about a girl who loves the outdoors, and decides to go camping in her own backyard. Local authorities did not suspect foul play.
Nadia has a form of autism called Asperger syndrome. The University of Utah has a research program and lab for children with Asperger syndrome. For information and a list of resources, click here.
