The Thomas Jefferson Rusk Academy of Fine Arts is hosting an evening of entertainment for the community on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 411 N. Mound Street, in Nacogdoches.
First, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m., the school will present the Fall Enrichment Art Show, displaying works from students in the magnet school. A variety of art by local youth will be available to view.
The art show will be followed at 6:00 p.m. by refreshments in the "Hospitality Hive" from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m., to honor the young artists, and at the same time to welcome contestants and spectators to the 7th annual Adult Spelling Bee that will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The annual Adult Spelling Bee has become a tradition in town and teams of three adults from local businesses, clubs, teachers, and other people in town have been practicing for weeks and they are ready to face their spelling challenges with enthusiasm! Everyone is invited to attend this great evening of fun and fundraising.
