The most anticipated match of the Wednesday LCS Super Week featured two big-name teams with big-time goals. Curse, the current titans of the NA LCS, aimed to remain undefeated. Dignitas looked to both legitimize and extend their already impressive win streak by taking down Curse. While both teams traded kills early, Dignitas' pace allowed for an utterly dominant win, giving Curse their first loss of the season.
It all stemmed from an uber-aggressive top lane from KiWiKiD early on, placing Voyboy on his heels early into the match. Dignitas moved to command every aspect of the game shortly after 10 minutes, including limiting Curse's vision with smart ward placement and elimination. A moderate 3k gold lead for Dignitas at 19 minutes exploded into an 8k gold lead a short time later after a 3-1 kill exchange allowed Dignitas to farm objectives and minions.
Curse looked uncharacteristically disjointed and hesitant for most of the match, allowing for KiWiKiD and a super-farmed Scarra to run rampant. The 350+ minion kills from Scarra ensured that if KiWiKiD's burst didn't shut down a champion, Scarra's would. Frequently caught out of position, Curse looked like nothing more than a speed bump in the way of a Dignitas victory.
Were these the first signs of cracks in Curse's armor? Only time will tell.
