N Embarcadero work transforming waterfront promenade

The piece of waterfront land between Navy Pier and B Street Pier has been kept away from the public during April while work on building the new North Embarcadero promenade widens the public walkway near the docks. Pedestrians kept off the walk have been rerouted to the east side of N Harbor Drive.

Jacaranda trees will be planted on the new wider promenade in late April.

Light fixture installations will end the work on a more decorative entryway to the waterfront between Pacific Highway and N Harbor Drive. Workers finished planting palm trees and plants in the median.
