While there are many fan conventions in the Denver area, Myths and Legends Con is a bit different. Taking place at the Sheraton Denver Tech Center from September 27-29, 2013, Myths and Legends Con is an event that celebrates some of the fandoms that do not currently have their own convention in the Mile High City. The fandoms celebrated are “Harry Potter”, “Firefly”, Pirates, “Lord of the Rings”, “Doctor Who” and “My Little Pony”.
There will be panels throughout the weekend to celebrate one of these fandoms and special events to take the party to the next level. On Friday there are two events that are a must attend. The Wizards Yule ball and the Browncoats Shindig will be a great time to meet new friends and dance the night away. You can sing along with “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” on Saturday afternoon, and in the evening participate in the seventh annual Buccaneer Bash. If the first two days are not enough, you can partake in Hobbit Second Breakfast on Sunday morning and then stick around for an afternoon of “Doctor Who”.
The weekend will highlight performers from around the land. These guests include Pandora Celtica, Not Literally, Thomas O’Dreams, and The Kilted Man. Body Painters Danny Dupree and Mythica von Griffyn will be on hand to help transform you.
The hotel is very convenient just off of I-25 in Greenwood Village. If it is not near you, there are amazing rates to stay at the hotel and not miss a moment of the convention. The amazing rate of $74 per night is for a limited time and the rooms are booking up quickly. Plus, if you stay for both nights, you may receive one weekend pass for free! Please visit their website for information on how to book your room.
Presale tickets are available online until September 20, 2013. The discounted presale price is $40 for adults and $20 for kids (age 7-12) for the entire weekend. If you have to purchase your tickets at the door there will be available for the entire weekend or by day. The door prices are $45 for the weekend, $15 for Friday, $20 for Saturday and $20 for Sunday. If you would like to experience the event as a VIP, the special VIP tickets are on sales for $55 until they run out.
Fans in the Rocky Mountain Area are gearing up for a great weekend of fun and friends. Don’t miss out on a moment of the fun. For additional information, please check out the official website.
