Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park, near Mt. Olivet, will host a mystery theater presentation of Trouble at the Tropicabana, an I Love Lucy Spoof on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16.
Fresh from their appearance at Cumberland Falls, the Fantastical Theatricals, from Lexington, will entertain guests with an interactive mystery theater as Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel mingle with diners.
The show opens with Ricky ready to sign a contract with movie mogul heiress, Celia B. DeMilo. As always, Ricky is concerned that somehow, Lucy and Ethel will ruin this big break as they scheme to get into the show as well. In the meantime, the notorious gangster, Mr. Big, shows up at Ricky’s club and a murder is discovered.
Who committed the murder? Why is Mr. Big at the Tropicabana? Will Ricky get the movie contract? And, most importantly, will Lucy finally get her big break?
Dinner will be served in the Hidden Waters Restaurant inside the Worthington Lodge at 6:30 p.m. with the mystery theater immediately following.
The park has an overnight package available that includes dinner and show, a lodge room, and breakfast the next morning priced at $129.00 per couple; dinner and show only is $34.95 per person.

Established in 1927, Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park is located at the site that some historians have called the “Last Battle of the American Revolution.” While the claim may be debatable, the struggle at Blue Licks embodies the conflict between the American Indian, Kentucky settlers, and the British Crown.
A small cemetery at the park is final resting place for those Kentuckians killed in the Battle of Blue Licks, including Israel Boone, the youngest son of Daniel Boone.
Facilities at the park include a 32-room lodge, cottages, restaurant, campgrounds with 51 campsites, 18-hole mini golf course, Pioneer Museum, seasonal pool, and six easy-to-hike trails.
The park is located less than 100 from Louisville and about half way between Lexington and Maysville along US-68. Easy to follow directions can be found using Google Maps.
