A young dog at the Greenville County Pet Rescue in Greenville, S.C., arrived to the facility with something extra in his collar - a black and white photo which is inspiring a good deal of speculation, reported Tuesday's publication of The Blaze.
The dog, picked up as a stray on Jan. 18, has been dubbed "Soldier," and the photo that was tucked away in his collar shows a young man in some type of military style jumpsuit.
Though some individuals have offered strange speculation on the shelter's Facebook page about what is in the man's hands (ranging from a knife to holding the body of a lamb), the photo simply seems to show a man who is sitting with one leg up on a railing.
Soldier is still unclaimed and the mystery of how the photo got into his collar remains.
Soldier, ID#21844639, is described as a healthy, 48-pound, two-year-old pit bull mix who is friendly with other dogs and people.
