Update 1/14/14: Brie has been moved to the "Safe" album - she was reserved by a rescue organization.
Brie lost her home on Jan. 4 after her family was evicted and she wound up caged at the New York Animal Care and Control in Manhattan.
Today, Brie's life is about to end - she is on the "TBD" list, or rather, to be destroyed...
The two-year-old dog, ID# A0988818, is listed as a pit bull mix, but her appearance suggests that she is a boxer/dalmatian mix instead.
Volunteers describe Brie as "dainty, shy and mysterious." The following information was shared about Brie:
She is beautiful, delicate looking, mysterious and shy. Her face always looks so bruised but she does enjoy treats and even runs for a ball. Her manners are gentle and she seems so comfortable just sitting by my side, enjoying petting and a sweet conversation. She walks now without running, stopping as I ask and even accepting , tail wagging another volunteer's caresses. Brie might be timid but she likes people and other dogs too
Undoubtedly, some of Brie's shyness and hurt stem from the recent loss of her home and family - if someone does not act soon, she will lose her very life.
