If you haven’t been to MySpace lately, this weekend is a great time to revisit the social networking website. MySpace will be streaming live from the 2100 seat Pearl Theater at the Palms Desert Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Matador Records.

Some of the biggest acts on Matador are gathering for the sold-out three-day music festival “Matador 21: The Lost Weekend.” The impressive lineup includes Sonic Youth, Pavement, Spoon, Cat Power, Liz Phair, Superchunk, Guided By Voices, Yo La Tengo and many others. For the complete list visit Matador 21. Matador is also commemorating the event with a limited-edition five CD box set designed especially for Las Vegas, currently available at Cactus Music, Soundwaves, Vinal Edge and other fine music stores in the Houston area.

Here is the current schedule of bands to be streamed live at myspace.com/matador21. Additional acts may be added to the streaming schedule. If you can’t watch at the scheduled time, each night’s stream will be repeated the following morning although MySpace has not given an exact time for the re-airing. It may depend on how good a time they have the night before. Additional acts may be added to the streaming schedule. All times listed are US/Central.
