Walt Disney World is expanding its FastPass+ testing to include Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Starting today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests will no longer be able to use Disney’s FASTPASS Service, its paper ticket system. All guests will receive their FastPasses using the FastPass+ kiosks or using the My Disney Experience on their computer or mobile device. The testing will include Epcot starting on Thursday, January 23. There are two different protocols for receiving FastPass+ selections.

For guests who are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will be able to receive three FastPass+ selections and modify them using the FastPass+ kiosks located throughout the theme parks. To redeem these FastPasses, guests will touch their theme park tickets to the touch points at the FastPass+ attraction chosen. If you choose to link your FastPass+ selections to your My Disney Experience account, you’ll be able to see what FastPasses you have chosen. However, you won’t be able to cancel or modify them. That can only be done at one of the FastPass+ kiosks. If you don’t link them, you should either take photo of the kiosk screen or write it down on the paper provided.

Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will be able to receive three FastPass+ selections in advance or the day of park visit. Resort hotel guests can view and modify their selections by using the My Disney Experience app, at a FastPass+ kiosk or at a service center.

All guests will be able to choose three experiences at one park per day. Guests who use the FastPass+ kiosk will have to choose all three FastPass+ selections. You can change them later in the day but at the time of selection you are required to choose three. At this time, testing is optional at all four parks but guests who decide not to participate will have to wait in the standby lines. There is no word yet on if Disney will be removing the current Disney’s FASTPASS Service. The MyMagic+ is still be tested with Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests. However, the do plan to implement the MyMagic+ experience with all guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
