MyFest at Cascades Park

Tallahassee welcomes the Second Annual MyFest to Cascades Park on September 6, 2014.

MyFest is only in its second year and will more than “out do” last year’s event according to those who plan to participate. This event will be filled with music, art, live entertainment and youth empowerment just as the Fall season is on its way in. MyFest is a community event offering inspiration, resources and services to those in the Tallahassee community and beyond. Sponsored by many community change agents, including Magellan Health, this event will include exhibitors prepared to share their services with families in the Big Bend area; information that can assist bring awareness about issues affecting our youth and where to find the resources to be of assistance.

MyFest and MyLife seek to share resources and empower youth during their experience with mental health concerns, substance abuse issues, encounters with the juvenile justice system, as well as foster-care related challenges. The goal is to help youth develop leadership, advocacy and social skills while engaging them through outreach services and mentoring.

There have been many events throughout the United States with thousands showing their support for such a great day full of activities and education. MyLife: Magellan Youth Leaders Inspiring Future Empowerment; come out and see the movement that’s stirring throughout the country.
