San Francisco world travelers heading for Myanmar (formerly Burma) should be sure to check out a new prize draw giving away free vacations to the country, one of Asia's most exciting emerging travel destinations.
Prizes include two night stays in three of Myanmar's finest luxury hotels in Yangon, Mandalay and the capital city of Naypyitaw.
The prizes also include free flights from Bangkok, the main air hub to Myanmar, with Bangkok Airways. The contest has been launched to mark the opening of Bangkok Airways new route to Mandalay from Bangkok, as well as celebrate the partnership between Myanmarburma.com, the airline and Agoda to provide reliable, consistent travel advice and booking services to the country.
Flying direct from the United States to Myanmar is still difficult, as many San Francisco world travelers know, but the new route makes it even easier for San Francisco travelers to reach the country, with daily flights from SFO to Bangkok and a short hop onwards to Mandalay or Yangon.
