After considerable publicity and months of anticipation, My Week with Marilyn opens to fanfare just in time for the holiday weekend. The movie, based on the book by Colin Clark, claims to be “based on a true story.” In this case, that term is used loosely. Very little in this story is true, as I’ve discussed here.
So, this weekend while you’re at the theater enjoy the movie but please remember you’re essentially watching a work of fiction. That’s Hollywood!
