My Visit to Hacienda Tres Rios Resort in Mexico

I recently stayed at the Hacienda Tres Rios Resort Spa & Nature Park while covering the Riviera Maya Jazz festival. It's a Riviera Maya All-Inclusive resort near Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It is a short 3 and half hour flight from New York City. I had a great time! The staff was friendly and there was plenty of food choices! Please check out my video tour.

Hacienda Tres Rios is a true eco resort. For instance, the hotel was constructed on pilings and a permeable rock base to allow for natural water flow and filters seawater to avoid using the freshwater aquifer. The resort sits on 326 acres of a protected nature park that includes jungle, mangroves, coastal dunes and cenotes (sinkholes filled with water).
