My Turn: Would Rush Limbaugh tell a lie?

See also

Rush Limbaugh, the rotund radio host and alleged recovering drug addict rumored to have a tough time controlling what runs into or comes out of his mouth, alleged today that the only reason Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is in trouble for his recently revealed racist comments is because he did not donate enough money to President Obama.
Really . . . that’s what Limbaugh said!
Permit me to quote exactly what Limbaugh said on his radio program today; “This guy” (Donald Sterling) “is a big Democrat. The only reason he’s in trouble is because he did not give enough money to Obama.
Really?
Rush Limbaugh made it sound like he knew for certain that Donald Sterling is a BIG Democrat (donor) who failed to give ENOUGH money to President Obama so he (Sterling) could get away with making racist comments.
I know what you’re thinking, “How much does President Obama charge to guarantee that the entire nation will ignore an individual’s racist comments?
I don’t know . . . Rush didn’t say.
While Rush failed to tell us how he knows for certain that President Obama is in the business of charging racist donors for a free passes from public excoriation, I wonder, how many big Obama donors will, at some time in the future, reveal their true racist selves with complete impunity?
I know what you’re thinking now, “Why didn't Donald Sterling, a billionaire, give President Obama enough cash to protect his racist beliefs from public disapproval and how would the president intimidate an entire nation into silence?"
It’s a compound question that Rush Limbaugh evidently didn’t think was important to ask.
Nevertheless, OpenSecrets.Org reports that Donald Sterling has given a total of $4,000.00 to Democratic candidates, none of whom were named Obama.
OpenSecrets.Org also reports that Sterling made his final donation to a Democratic candidate 23 years ago, long before Barack Obama ever ran for political office.
With all of the resources at Limbaugh’s pudgy fingertips, one wonders why couldn’t Rush have taken a moment to confirm that Donald Sterling had at least given some money to Obama before accusing the President of the United States of selling protection from public opinion?
By the way, it appears that Limbaugh missed another pertinent fact . . . Donald Sterling is a registered Republican!
Are you beginning to wonder what I’m beginning to wonder . . . would Rush Limbaugh tell a lie?
Huh?
