“Congress meets tomorrow morning, Let us all pray: Oh Lord, give us strength to bear that which is about to be inflicted upon us. Be merciful with them, oh Lord, for they know not what they’re doing. Amen!” ~ Will Rogers
The honorable Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner has put America on notice: The greatest threat to our nation is not gridlock in Washington, D.C., economic collapse, global warming, pestilence, or even nuclear war . . . the greatest threat to our nation is President Obama’s determination to “tear apart what our founders built.”
Speaker Boehner’s warning is clear: left unchained, President Obama will continue to work to destroy every single constitutional protection Americans have lived and died for since June 21, 1788!
How scary is it that the president of the United States, the single most powerful person in the world, is systematically destroying the basis of American democracy for the past 226 years?
I don’t know about you, but I never thought that any president would systematically destroy the very foundation upon which this nation was built.
What does Obama really want?
But don’t fret!
America will be just fine because John Boehner has come up with a plan to save democracy for this and future generations.
Boehner got the House of Representatives to pass a resolution (225 to 201) today so he can spend millions of taxpayer dollars and countless hours of Congressional time to sue the president to finally put an end to Obama's diabolical plan.
Boehner graciously attempted to soothe the nation’s fear of Obama’s obsession with the destruction of the Constitution with the following assurance: “This isn’t about Republicans and Democrats. It’s about defending the Constitution that we swore an oath to uphold and acting decisively when it may be compromised.”
Boehner then challenged every American to support his lawsuit by asking, “Are you willing to let a president choose what laws to execute and what laws to change? Are you willing to let any president tear apart what our founders built?”
America's obvious answer to both of Boehner’s questions is, of course, a resounding NO!
Aren’t we blessed to have a wonderful Republican patriot like John Boehner in Washington to protect us from Barack Obama’s fiendish anti-democracy agenda?
What does President Obama, also known in some GOP circles as the Great Constitution Destroyer, have to say for himself?
Not much, not really.
All Obama can do is accuse GOP Representatives and Senators of not doing their jobs. “We could do so much more if Congress would come on and help out a little bit,” the president told a crowd in Kansas City, Missouri yesterday. “Stop being mad all the time. Stop. Stop just hating all the time. C’mon, I know they’re not happy that I’m president but that’s okay. I gotta couple of years left. C’mon, then you can be mad at the next president.”
President Obama then went on to say, “Instead of suing me for doing my job, I want Congress to do its job.”
The president actually expects Congress to do its job?
Has the poor man lost his mind?
President Obama sounds like the 91% of Americans who have the same expectation.
