In the past, finding eco-friendly or green products was a challenge, they weren't readily available at local stores or even in every town. That's all changed, now finding eco-friendly companies and products is as easy as turning on your computer. To help you get started, I've decided to share some of my favorite 'green' and 'eco-friendly' websites with you.
A great all-around company for green products and advice is Green Depot. Green Depot has a broad assortment of green products, from paint, insulation, and weather-stripping to kitchen cabinets, flooring and cleaning products. Green Depot is a one-stop resource.
One of my favorite paint companies is Benjamin Moore. In addition to their low VOC line, Aura, they have introduced a no VOC line, Natura. Both lines are available in any color!
Yolo Colorhouse is a zero-VOC paint line that's worth looking into, you can either shop in a store or online. Either way their experienced staff can answer all of your 'color' questions.
One of my absolute favorite flooring companies is Forbo, they make natural marmoleum linoleum in an amazing array of colors - gorgeous!
Flor is a fabulous resource for carpet tiles in every texture and color.
Cork is a great flooring material, good sound absorption, lots of color choices and a nice complement or substitute to wood floors. Globus Cork.
Cleaning products are the easiest change to make. There are so many companies and products to choose from in this category, you won’t have any trouble finding something you like at a reasonable price. It’s no longer necessary to have these products mailed to you; it’s as easy as going to your favorite discount store or the grocery store!
