It is said that we can use our tongue to heal or to kill. A friend wrote :
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Therefore I will use my tongue as a weapon, armed with wisdom and power from the word of God. I have purposed in my heart to honor my Lord with my words. Because the Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary. Only the sweet water of the word shall pour from these lips of clay.
Hebrews 4:12 reminds me that God's word is alive and full of power; therefore I will confront the enemy in the spirit realm. Declaring the Truth that (Jesus is Lord) both in heaven and on the earth. I am a soldier being trained to do spiritual warfare with my tongue and the word of God.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. My tongue was given to me, not for murmuring, nor backbiting and neither complaining, But to bring glory to his great name( fighting the good fight of faith).
The next time you are using your tongue ask yourself did I healed someone or did I hurt someone?
