Recently we have all been bombarded with rants about what is happening in our country and the world. Many, even in the Christian community, uptight and distraught about what is happening are lashing out at those in leadership. The Republicans blaming Democrats, Democrats blaming Republicans. Everyone voicing their opinions as to what the problems are and how to fix them. I must confess, I've been doing it too. So, my New Year's Resolution is to remember who our real enemy is, Ephesians 6:12, and that none of this has taken God by surprise, history is just unfolding exactly the way the Bible says it will.
It is time for me to stop staring at the waves rolling around me and cast my eyes upon Jesus. Yes, the US has been seduced away from her great Christian heritage, and is now being led down the path to a single world system that will have complete control over every individual. Yes, not all, but most of our leadership are spiritually blind and unknowingly led by spiritual principalities the Bible refers to as the mystery of iniquity, but they are not the enemy. This should not take any Christian by surprise, Jesus said this time would come. Read 2 Timothy chapter 3. Perilous times are indeed at our doorstep, this will cause many to seek truth and hope. So, my New Year's Resolution is to always be ready to share the hope that is in me, and share it at every opportunity.
Everyone who still has the ability to think for them self can see, this world is indeed heading for a cataclysmic time. I am not a pessimist, just a realist. Jesus said it will be the worst time of trouble the world will ever see, Matthew 24:21. Yet, even as we watch the current world system heading for disaster, we can have peace that passes all understanding, and hope... Why? because Jesus has delivered the children of God from the wrath to come, 1 Thessalonians 1:10.
I thank God, for the Grace, Mercy and Peace I have in Jesus Christ! (Grace: Receiving that which I do not deserve, ETERNAL LIFE) (Mercy: Not receiving that which I do deserve. THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD) (Peace, mental calm knowing that God cannot lie, Titus 1:2, and that HE PROMISED I WILL BE SAVED! Romans 10:13) I became a child of God when I confessed to God, that Jesus died for my sin. I also confessed I believe God raised Him from the dead and asked Him to save me. Since that time, His Spirit now bears whiteness with my spirit that I am a child of God! Romans 8:16.
Soon, the kingdoms of this current world will be replaced with the kingdom of God, and all who have come to Jesus will be present and participate in His kingdom, and it will last forever, Revelation 11:15. These are not my words, these are the facts found in God's word.
God's kingdom is coming, nothing will stop it. All who are chosen by God to be saved from the wrath to come, will come to Jesus. And, all who come to Jesus will never be cast out of His coming kingdom. John 6:37.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13,14.
My hope is that all who hear these words of truth will be comforted by them...
