'My Little Pony Equestria Girls' sequel planned for fall 2014

After a successful theatrical run or despite a disappointing first movie (depending on which "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" fan you ask) that "My Little Pony Equestria Girls" turned out to be, Hasbro Studios revealed to "Entertainment Weekly" its plans for a second animated film titled "My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks" that's scheduled later this year.

Based on the clip, "My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks" will feature the same human versions of the previous "My Little Pony Equestria Girls" characters who learned that friendship is magic (while their character designs divided the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" fan community). But now in "Rainbow Rocks," the Mane 6 seem to be involved in a situation where they have to start a band and perform rock music as though they are in a high school musical. Hopefully they will have something more to go on in this second film than repeating how friendship is magic.

Any and all speculation about "My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks" will be taken care of come fall 2014 when the film is released; though it's to be determined if it'll be released in theaters or directly to DVD. For now, fans of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" can watch the current fourth season on The Hub Network Sturdays at 10:30am ET.

Do you find "Shake Your Tail" catchy or annoying? And based on this clip, do you plan on watching "My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks" when it comes out?
