IDW Publishing and Wizards of the Coast are pleased to announce the Forgotten Realms Character Creation contest, in conjunction with the launch of the all-new Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms comic book series, written by Greenwood and starting in April 2012! Chosen by Wizards, IDW and Greenwood, the winner will see his or her character appear in a future issue of this series!
To enter, create a heroic tier character (1st – 10th level; no gods or demigods) using the Dungeons & Dragons sourcebooks: Heroes of the Feywild, Heroes of Shadow, or Neverwinter Campaign Setting, and follow the on-screen instructions set forth on dnd/promotions.aspx to (i) complete and submit an entry form which includes your name, address, email address and phone number, and (ii) up to 100 words of flavor text (colorful character background descriptions). Entries are limited to one (1) per person.
Here's my entry:
In a previous life Blast Haelsoshni was an arrogant elven wizard with aristocratic ambitions. Then he contracted the plague, his face fell off, and he died. Kelemvor wasn't done with him. Stalb was reanimated as a warpriest of death to judge the living. Stalb tries hard to fit in by wearing masks to cover his missing face: smiley when diplomatic, neutral when bored, angry when entering combat. Stalb calls the shrieking crimson harpies that bolster his healing his "Angelic Witnesses." But being dead has its advantages; he once lay in a slum's gutter to avoid the city guard.
Entries must be submitted between 12:01 a.m. PST on January 20, 2012 and 12:01 a.m. PST on February 10, 2012.
One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize package ("Grand Prize Package") consisting of:
