My 2014 Oscar picks from Best Picture to Best Foreign Language Film

The 2014 Academy Awards are this Sunday, so I thought I would share who I think might win the prizes. My picks come from just luck and from following the various award shows from the Globes to the Baftas. I decided to share my picks for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and because I'm 100% sure, my pick for Best Foreign Language Film.

So here are my picks:

Best Picture: "12 Years A Slave"

The Best Picture award is probably the hardest to pick for. Recently at the Baftas both "12 Years A Slave," and "Gravity," won a lot of awards, and both are forerunners for this year Oscar. It seems that the Best Picture nominees have been going back and forth. I think that though "12 Years A Slave" is going to win the big award.

Best Director: Alfonso Cuaron

I like all the directors on this list, but Cuaron has a big chance to win at this year's Academy Awards. I think he'll get that award, but not for Best Picture.

Best Actor: Matthew McConaughey

Okay normally I would be rooting for Leonardo DiCaprio, but I think that Matthew McConaughey has this for winning the Oscar for Best Actor. He has been doing good at other award shows, and I think he's finally showing the critics and film viewers that he has serious acting chops. More roles like this and less romantic comedies, will be good for his career future.

Best Actress: Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett is one of my favorite actresses and she has been fairing pretty well at award shows for her role in the Woody Allen film, "Blue Jasmine." I really believe that she has it this year and I'll be celebrating! Though if she doesn't win and the award goes to Judi Dench, I'll still be happy!

Best Supporting Actor: Jared Leto

If Jared Leto doesn't win, well I'll be quite surprised! I have a good feeling, that he has it this year.

Best Supporting Actress: Jennifer Lawrence

Hollywood loves Lawrence and for her role "American Hustle," she has been doing not bad at the award circuit. So it wouldn't be too surprising if she won this year.

Best Foreign Language Film: "The Great Beauty"

I have a hunch that this Italian film will be winning big! Just trust me.

So those are my picks for some the awards. I could be right or I could be wrong. It all depends on the Academy!
