A person walking their dog at Edgewater Park on Wednesday came across a gruesome discovery. The remains of a dead Chihuahua were found scattered about.
The Cleveland Animal Protective League was called out to investigate. Sharon Harvey, Executive Director of the APL, said it is difficult to determine what exactly happened to the little disfigured dog. According to a newsnet5.com interview, Harvey stated they have more questions than answers.
The person who found the remains of the dog claimed other mutilated dogs have been found in the area. So what exactly is happening to small dogs in the park?
And why were all of the Chihuahua’s paws taped with gauze?
Are dogs being buried there, only to be dug up by another animal?
Or is it a human that is dismembering the dogs?
The APL is interested in finding out the answers to these questions. If you have any information on this or have seen any other dead dogs at the park, please contact the Cleveland APL Humane Hotline at 216-277-1630.
