Must Watch: Two live action versions of 'The Simpsons', one of which is creepy (with video)

Best part of this live-action version of "The Simpsons"?  Willem DaFoe's in there.

Who woulda thought the Estonians were such big fans of "The Simpsons"?  Well, we would, that's who: the animated FOX comedy has been around since forever, and we've long-since reached the saturation point for the yellow-skinned family and their cohorts.  But for a group of Estonians to recreate the entire opening credits sequence in live action?  That shows a dedication that hasn't been seen since...well, since they did it over in England a few years ago.  No matter, the video below's still worth watching, my gentle Examiner readers...

Yes, this isn't the first time that someone's gotten off their fat, "Simpsons"-loving arse and produced a live-action version of the opening credits sequence, but this version is certainly the most Estonian (and that's saying something).  Here, check it out:

For those playing along at home, this brings our list of "Things We Know About Estonians" up to "one": that they once recreated the theme and opening credits sequence from FOX's longest-running animated comedy and put it online.  Who knows?  Maybe this video will lead to a resurrgence of interest in all things Estonian, kinda like how "Hello, Kitty" brought some much-needed attention to Japan in the late 80's.  Actually, probably not, but it was still worth a click, right?  Let us know what you thought in the comments section below, Examiner readers and "Simpsons" fans.  Oh, and hey, wanna see something really creepy?  Just look at this live-action "Simpsons" attempt:

Well, that was just massively creepy and off-putting.  Thanks, Spain!  For our money, we'll stick with the Estonian version; it's far less likely to give us night terrors.  Hey, while you're here, check out some of these recent articles from the Comedy Examiner's Office:

AFI NAMES "THE HANGOVER" AS ONE OF THE BEST FILMS OF 2009-- in which we learn that "The Hangover" (of all movies) was just selected by the American Film Institute as one of the year's best.  Who woulda thought?

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: DISNEY'S 'PRINCESS' DOMINATES THE COMPETITION-- in which we look at this weekend's box office top ten.  Who took the top spot?  There's a major clue in the headline, Sherlock.

MUST WATCH: SNOOP DOGG RECITES "HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS"-- in which we share a very funny video from a recent episode of Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night".  It's a very Snoop Dogg Christmas!

What is with Latin cultures like Mexico and Spain that make the worst (S word not allowed) to ever hit a television...are the people in these countries that easily entertained or do you think they see this nonsense and think 'what the F'?
