The 7th Annual Tequila & Mezcal Festival at Oyamel starts this Monday: This exciting event includes a kick-off party on March 10, 3 pairing dinners, and 7 tequila tastings. Tickets for the kick-off party are $60, which includes all the Mexican street food you can eat and all the tequila cocktails you can drink. Alba Osteria introduces a tasting menu: Every Thursday evening Alba Osteria will be offering a six course Italian tasting menu, with cocktails, wine, and beer pairings for $80 a person. Make a reservation by calling the restaurant directly.
It’s Cherry Blossom Season! Entertainment Cruises is running a series of specials: Odyssey Cruises will have a Cherry Blossom ride, where guests will learn about the history of the cherry blossom trees and provide an opportunity to see all of DC’s famous landmarks. Even better, guests will be treated to a cherry blossom festival-themed dessert including Odyssey’s cherry blossom cheesecake topped with cherry chocolate compote. Brunch, lunch, and dinner cruises are all offered with lives music and great views of the cherry blossom trees. Spirit of Washington cruises will also be offering a special lunch cruise with a discussion of the cherry blossom trees. The lunch will conclude with a decadent cherry blossom dessert duo.
Republic initiates a late night music program: Takoma Park residents can head to Republic to enjoy listening to various guest artists, open mic nights on Sundays, and blues performers on Mondays. There will be a late night food and drink menu, which will include fries, spiced sweet potato chips, cheeses, cookies, and innovative cocktails.
