Must read novels coming to a theater near you

If I stay

There has been a lot buzz surrounding the movies that are coming to theater at end of this year. In fact most movie critics predicting record-breaking box office numbers. Adding to the hype is how many of these up and coming blockbuster are based on bestselling books with large fan following. Here's a list of must reads in order to catch you up before they hit the theater.
1. If I Stay. Both beautiful and heart wrenching this novel tells the story of 17 year of Mia who has just life through a car accident that puts her in a coma. Though an out-of-body experience Mia is able to witness friends and family visiting her. As the title suggests Mia is faced with the choice of waking up and living a truly difficult life or embrace dying. The movie features Chloë Grace Moretz in the role of Mia and is set to release in August.
2. The Maze Runner. The first book in an epic science fiction trilogy, The Maze Runner features a large group of teen age boys with no memories of their past. All they know is that they are trapped in a huge maze full of creatures that are trying to kill them. The film is due out this September with Dylan O'Brien of Teen Wolf fame in the leading role.
3. Before I Go to Sleep. This psychological thriller is about Christine Lucas who is suffering from anterograde amnesia and there for wake up with no memory of the last 20 years. Everyday her husband must inform her of who he is and their entire past together. But when Christine starts seeing a doctor and keeping a journal to retain new memories she begins to fear her husband is lying to her. The film is releasing in September with Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth in the leading roles.
4. Addicted. This highly erotic novel by Zane has a huge cult following not just for its sultry scenes but for psychological drama that unfolds as well. Zoe is a wife and mother who is also a sex addict. The novel depicts Zoe’s sexual encounters and high price she must pay for her reckless behavior. The film is due to hit theaters in October and features Sharon Leal in the role of Zoe.
5. Gone Girl. This bestselling novel is now one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2014(releasing in October). The novel focuses of the disappearance of Amy Dunne and uncovering who is responsible. Right away readers are suspicious her husband Nick due to all unusual behavior and the series of lies he tells. But is he really to blame? This suspenseful mystery, that full of plot twists should make for one interesting film.
