Must-have Items in a Purse

Have you ever had a moment where you were in need of something desperately? Many of us run late, easily forgetting to stuff things at our purses or do last minute before walking out the door. To be prepared, I have included a list of must-haves for purses (besides the wallet, keys and cell.) Some makeup, some accessories and some necessities:

Concealer or Powder – For those tired days or just to touch up.
Lip Gloss/Lipstick – Pretty on the outside and makes us feel beautiful as well. A must!
Lip Balm – Balm adds a protecting layer especially for dry lips.
Lotion – A nice smelling anti-bacterial, great for those dry hands.
Bobby Pins/Hair Bands – Hair… every woman will understand.
Safety Pin – Rips or tears will be no big deal if you carry these.
Perfume – Stash a mini perfume of your favorite scent.
Compact Mirror – Handy for the makeup.
Ibuprofen/Tylenol – For those headaches and pains when you are stuck at work.
Pen – You never know when you’ll need one. Even a little stack of post-its are good.
Gum – Fresh breath, especially after lunch!
Mini Brush/Comb – Hair fix.
Headphones – Depending on where you are or where you work, sometimes you regret leaving them at home.

I also suggest an address book (already filled-out) in case something happens to your cell phone and you need to contact somebody. It is helpful to have a bigger purse if you want more items. Over time, items you don’t use can collect at the bottom so it is helpful to clean it out every once in a while. This will also let you know what you should keep and remove from your purse so it isn't cluttered. What items do you keep in your purse?
