Previously, this reviewer talked about the Google Nexus 7 and the positive aspects of the tablet. Now in this article, a few applications that this review and Google Nexus owner have found to be very beneficial to the usage and enjoyment of this tablet.
Hulu Plus- This one is quite simply a must. Netflix would have also been included in this article but it seems that usually it is always preloaded on most devices at this point. Hulu Plus is another subscription based service and new episodes of shows are streamed on there almost everyday. As well, some newer titles always are introduced in their library so always check out to see what new shows have been added. Hulu also looks quite clear in terms of resolution on the tablet and the sound quality is good enough although a pair of headphones can absolutely help.
TuneIn Radio-This reviewer has tried other internet radio services and also tried satellite radio. None of them can really compare to TuneIn Radio. One of the reasons it is preferred is that unlike Pandora, you do not have to log back in to let them know that you are still listening. TuneIn, all you are doing is finding a station that you like and you are good to go for as long as you want to listen. Any genre of music, talk, sports can be found. As well, it is absolutely free.
Dropbox- If productivity is your thing to do on your tablet, this is a great application. It is amazing to be able to access your files from any of your devices that have an internet connection especially if you have a need to access them very quickly. This reviewer was able to edit and send out his resume to a prospective employer one time on his lunch break from work.
SongPop- This is really only listed because it is just a heck of a lot of fun. SongPop is a music trivia game that you play with other users as long as you have an active internet connection. You can challenge someone in different genres and if you win, you get points to use towards downloading playlists of other music. This reviewer does advise to wear headphones or turn the volume on the tablet up because the sound is a little low for some of the music. It is a fun, fast-paced game.
The best things about these apps are that they are all on Google Play and every single one is free. This reviewer has enjoyed having these apps on his table and has made using his Nexus that much more enjoyable and worthwhile. Feel free to comment if you have any applications that are a must for your device.
