Muss and Turner's, located in Smyrna, GA recently added sous chef, Jason Jimenez to their talented Muss & Turner's team. A native Atlantan, Jason has lived here his entire life, except when he moved to Charleston, South Carolina to attend Johnson and Whales and worked at Peninsula Grill and Maverick Restaurant Group's Old Village Post House.
After Jason moved back to Atlanta, he began working at Canoe Restaurant for four years under Chef Carvel. Jason spent two years as a sous chef and got the nickname "Shi-Shi." If you have the chance to visit Muss and Turner's, you can ask Jason about the story! After Canoe, Jason headed to Craft Restaurant and then opened a TexMex place in Buford, GA with his father. Shortly after, Jason got back on board with Chris Hall, chef and managing partner at Local Three and joined the Local Three team.
According to Jason, “It's simple, I like to cook for people and enjoy just about everything that deals with food. From the local produce to creating menus and dishes for the people, I get to meet along the way. I enjoy playing a small part in a bigger picture with respect and appreciation of the opportunity to serve well. Whether that is learning from others or influencing others. As I have grown and matured and will continue to do so I hope my passion for creating and inspiring dishes will become more delectable .”
Jason’s motto is, “Food has a way of transcending into our lives and act as vehicle create great moments where Great food+people= enduring moments . We all have them so why not try to strive to be a part of a place that offers that from the people, food and atmosphere that is Muss & Turners.
