New York- Muslim American voters of Nassau county overwhelmingly support Tom Suozzi for county executive in the elections being held tomorrow. Local community leaders are urging people to get out and vote for Mr. Suozzi to ensure he is elected to the office.
Having already served two terms as Nassau county executive Mr. Suozzi is a good friend of the Muslim American community of the County and has the experience to turn it around. He is running against incumbent Ed Mangano who is backed by the Tea Party.
The Tea party is notorious for spreading anti-Muslim sentiments and does politics based purely on hate and more specifically hate against Islam and Muslims.

Talking to Examiner.com, Jay who hails from Glen Clove, NY said, "There is no place for the politics of hate in this great country and candidates backed by Tea Party are doing exactly that, spreading hate against Islam and Muslim Americans."
"All practicing hate or associating themselves with parties that spread hate need to be voted out and Mr. Mangano is one of them." He added
In his message to the community, prominent Muslim community leader and Former Director Audit Nassau County Mr. Salim Ejaz said:
"We need Tom Suozzi, a democrat and a great friend of Muslims, to win. His opponent is heavily backed by Tea party, who is steeped in Islamophobia. Please make sure you come out to vote and urge every eligible voter to vote for Tom Suozzi."
Muslim American vote made a difference in last year's elections by helping defeat candidates with an anti-Muslim agenda and Tom Suoizzi''s supporters are expecting it to be the difference in the elections tomorrow as well.
